Is Gay Marriage Immoral Because the Bible Says So?

I’m a christian and I believe that gay people have just as much right to get married as straight people. God loves everyone regardless of their sexuality. I don’t believe that because you’re of a different sexual orientation that you go to hell.

I totally agree with this, though I do have to say, depending on the woman, you might not want to associate with her while she’s on her period.  Some of us tend to PMS hardcore.  Just a warning.

Oh, the old testament? Because Christians are totally Jewish.

All of these verses except one are the old law which we are no longer under due to Jesus Christ.

23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,

(Galatians 3:23-25)

This is such as ignorant argument for people rivaling Christian beliefs on homosexuality. It’s used so often, and it is so uninformed!

Yes, I see Ephesians up there.  I do know that’s new testament.

“Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.”

You’re going to use that verse in a negative connotation? Because I think if everyone followed that verse, the world would be a much more pleasant place.  How can you even begin to say replacing “cursing” with thanksgiving isn’t a good thing?

The new testament speaks against homosexuality.

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

I follow the new testament. I am a Christian.

What makes a photo truly outstanding?
Light.
Huh, how about that.
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5, ESV)

Everyone in my town adores David Platt’s book Radical.

As for me, I’m on page 58 and pretty indifferent. The hype was huge, but I’m not seeing it fufilled.
That being said, anytime the name of God is proclaimed, it is to be thankful for.
I’m keeping hope for the later chapters.

People.

You know there are those people that life would just be easier without? Sometimes, they are people that once made you really happy, that continually put a smile on your face.

God puts people in your life for all sorts of reasons. If you ask God to take control of a relationship, He will.  It might not be the way you envisioned it, but it is the way He envisioned it.  Our minds are completely incapable of fully understanding God’s logic. That’s why we have faith.

Next time you’re in an uncomfortable relationship of any sort with someone, remember it’s all in His hands. And don’t forget, He can take people out of your life, too.

[This had been saved in my drafts for a little while too long.]

Life lately.

God has shown me so much.

He has made life so beautiful for me.

Every song sounds like I’m hearing it for the first time.

Scripture takes a fresh toll on my heart.

My interactions with people are amazing.

He has set my priorities straight.

I’m so happy to lose myself in Him.

My thoughts on the Christian community at my school are being cultivated.

Everything feels new.

And I love it.

And I thank Him for it.

I’m completely in love with my Saviour.

Give thanks to the LORD for He is good!

His love endures forever.

(Psalm: 136:1)

Guys, I cannot express to you how grateful I am for my Saviour.  The love He shows me fills my heart.  I need nothing else.  His Love is more than sufficient.
